Unternehmen & CommunityBiswarup Chakraborty

We are pleased to welcome Biswarup Chakraborty to the team as a Modernization Consultant.
To get to know him a little better, we asked him about his journey, his focus
and what excites him about joining Living Mainframe.

Let’s start from the beginning – could you tell us about your journey?

My journey began with a strong interest in technology, which led me to study electronics
and later work on large-scale mainframe systems.
At Mphasis and Infosys, I developed applications supporting high-volume transactions.
This gave me deep insight into the reliability and scalability of IBM z/OS environments.

How did your focus evolve over time?

Alongside developing software applications for z/OS, I became increasingly interested in how data can be better utilized.
This led me to pursue a master’s degree in Medical Engineering, specializing in Image & Data Processing at FAU Erlangen.
In addition, I worked on building data products using modern data cloud platforms at Siemens Healthineers in Erlangen,
focusing on usability, scalability, and value creation.

What motivates your interest in modernization?

I see modernization not as replacing legacy systems, but as connecting them with modern platforms
and intelligent solutions to unlock greater value.

Why Living Mainframe?

Living Mainframe brings together deep mainframe expertise with data- and AI-driven approaches.
This aligns closely with my experience and my interest in bridging legacy systems with modern technologies.
Needless to say, Living Mainframe also has one of the best teams one could ask for.

What are you looking forward to?

I look forward to contributing to solutions that connect mainframe systems with
modern plattforms and help organizations make better use of their data.

We are very pleased to have you on board at Living Mainframe, Biswarup. Welcome to the team!

Thank you Yvonne. Excited for the journey ahead.
